my name is madi warner.

i am a mixed media artist/adhd hobbyist. i live in portland, or with my boyfriend wes, pet rabbit basil, and pet cat barnie. i am sober, vegan, and never bored.
my style has been described as showing a lot of duality, which i feel encapsulates the polarizing sides of my personality. i mostly like to work with bold colors and pastels. i am largely inspired by vintage kitsch, animals, my personal experiences, and nostalgia.
i began selling my pieces in 2024 with the goal of finding community by sharing my art and story with others, showing myself that vulnerability is powerful, and letting my hobbies pay for themselves (but being able to afford lip fillers someday would be sooooo cool also).
since i have started selling my art at markets around the portland area, i have noticed myself and my peers all echoing the same sentiment of "i wish we didn't have to use instagram to platform our small businesses and keep in touch with people." and the reality is...we don't. we were just fine without it before, we will be just fine without it again. we do singlehandedly have the ability to take back the power and log off these evil apps and go back to the old ways of the internet - which is why i am here. the algorithms, endless scrolls, analytics, page views, constant demands for content, views, and accumulating followers is something that i am no longer interested in wasting my time on. i would much rather pursue my creative interests with that time and to have the freedom and flexibility to design my webspace to be exactly how i want it to be: fun, interesting, inspiring, and not trying to sell you a bunch of stupid shit you don't need!!! just some cute shit you don't need but is very special and handmade by yours truly.
